Russian icon Diptych 1660, Moscow, Armory Palace. The diptych is made in the form of a folding medallion, which folds out into two icons and a front and back cover, the whole composition is made of silver (unmark, tested for high level of silver). Painted on metal, on one side Nativity of John Baptist, on the other Mother of God with Child. The inscription on the front side "The Nativity of John the Baptist" and the day 1660, on the back the sign of the Virgin Mary and the day 1660.
